Most easily defined as an unusual migration of large numbers of specific birds; possibly a significant distance from their normal range. Causes may be attributed to weather shifts / events, or food supply changes. We're seeing an irruption of Pine Siskins and Red Breasted Nuthatches in our area. Watch your feeders for these less than common back yard visitors.
